TXT - DNS Record

(Text record). Originally for arbitrary human-readable text in a DNS record. Since the early 1990s, however, this record more often carries machine-readable data, such as opportunistic encryption, Sender Policy Framework, DomainKeys, DNS-SD, etc.
To store new types of information, the TXT record uses a structured format in its TXT-DATA field.  The format consists of the attribute name followed by the value of the attribute.  The name and value are separated by an equals sign (=).
A TXT record can be used for any kind of documentation. It is also used to provide information to the SPF e-mail authentication system.
